I had the same problem with traction control going crazy. You can pull the ABS fuse and the truck will drive fine except for no ABS.

It's been almost a year and a half (jesus, time flies) so I may have forgotton some details, but I am pretty sure my system went crazy after sitting for two months. I tried pulling the ABS sensors and cleaning them, which just made things worse and the speedo completely quit working over 50 mph. I did some googling, found threads like this, tried repacking grease and had no luck. I finally replaced the hubs on the left side of the truck, and the speedo started working. I haven't done the right side yet, and my traction control is still haywire so the fuse is pulled.

I seriously doubt resetting the system will help. It wouldn't grab if there wasn't a problem with wheel speeds. Personally, I'd throw a couple of new chinese hubs on the front.

Can I use "Super Lube" multi-purpose synthetic grease in place of your gear lube? Which gear lube did you use? Trying to get it back together at the moment. thanks.

I used either Lucas high temp red grease or Mobil 1 synth green grease. I'm not sure which, but I think it was the Lucas. It didn't work.

I used the Super Lube which I posed the question of and no issues yet. It seems to be functioning the same as before I seperated the sensor from the wheel hub and had both left exposed for 1-week. I wiped everything down clean to clear the dust and dirt, then had to start over fresh which is a little scary, let me tell you.

So the super lube fixed your TCS issue?

I apologize for any confusion, let me clarify. I didn't have any problems with ABS, etc. I had to remove the axle for a different fix and everything sat out in the open garage for 1-week so I had to clean and dress the sensor, pilot hole in the hub and the axle so I used this grease for reassembly. I was worried that once I wiped off the sensor and that dollop of grease in the hub that the connection would be faulty. They say not to unscrew that sensor from the hub at all so I was paranoid about it.
