Default pp disco I question on the oil

Would 10w30 valvoline conventional oil work for my disco with a mopar oil filter?? Or should I go synthetic?? I live in Norther California and the disco has 97k miles. Also is there a special way to do the oil change on a disco because in discoweb they said something about loosing the prime. Sorry if its a stupid question

thanks

Nothing special to it, you'll need to use a 1/2" driver on the drain plug and 6 qts. to fill up.

my overly simplified rover oil change procedure:

drain old oil
refit drain plug
add new oil
fill new oil filter with new oil
remove old oil filter
install new oil filter

oil is a very subjective topic. if you want to go to synthetic, go for it. if not, conventional will do just fine.

Just make sure that you change the oil every 3,000 miles when you use convential oil. That oil is fine, you just need to change it more often.
Make sure that you use the same oil everytime you change it.
