Default Preventative Shuttle Valve Seal Replacement

Falconworks recommends regularly replacing the seals in the modulator as a preventative measure. Has anyone followed this advice? Just wondering if it is necessary or not. So far I've had no modulator codes and I'd like to keep it that way if possible.

I replaced mine when I changed out the modulator. They do need replacing because when they were out brake fluid gets to the modulator and eats the wiring. At least that was my case. How often they should be replaced, I don't know, but it is not a cheap fix. And once you see how small the parts are you will be shocked.

As I see it, it's $74 for a switch. The only site I found had seals for $44. I would say it's not worth the expense of the seals to save the switch.

If they are not leaking it would be preventative, in my case mine wear leaking so I replaced. $44 is steep for two small seals and 4 c clips. But in my opinion it will help extend the life of the switch you are replacing.
