ProShaft Front Drive Shaft
Justin, nice to have you on here.
What other Land Rover models can ProShaft provide driveshafts for?
Also, your signature states "or ANY light duty drive shaft for that matter". Can you ellaborate on what you mean by "light duty"? Many individuals here offroad their truck and would be looking for a Heavy Duty upgrade over a stock shaft. However, I can see how that application could still be seen as Light Duty when compared to a 10 yard dump truck.
Thanks!

edit: I realized that I forgot to answer your question regarding other drive shafts for Land Rovers. Currently, I can only provide front drive shafts '99-'02 Discovery II's and one of my suppliers lists drive shafts for Defender 90's both front and rear. There was some talk a short while back about possibly building a front drive shaft for a Discovery I but I really need to get my hands on a stock one to see what the pilot dimensions are on both ends. Hope this helps!

I believe some addional clarity may help.
Does ProshaftLLC act as a distributor for shafts produced by another source? No harm in this, many people have a business selling high quality items made elsewhere.
Does ProshaftLLC assemble the final product from various parts selected from top quality sources? By assemble I refer to more than spray paint and a sticker.
Does ProshaftLLC test / balance the final shaft, or is that outsourced or done by the original factory?
Pictures of shafts in production at ProshaftLLC would be appreciated, people like to see " the works". Shaft production comes in all sizes. Equally, a distributor usually has a picture available of shelves full of boxes of products available for rapid shipment. Keep in mind that most Rover owners do something other than Rover, so plenty of people on here have seen a warehouse, made a cold sales call, shipped products, walked a production line, negotiated price structures, and we all have experience with customer service.

Thanks for the questions! What I mean is light duty as opposed to true heavy duty gear for Freightliners, Peterbilts, etc. This would include big Spicer 10 series such as 1710, 1760, and the other big boys that you find on over-the-road trucks. The Land Rover drive shafts that I sell are indeed a "heavy duty" upgrade compared to the stock shaft that is made with smaller, non greaseable universal joints.

yep, this really looks like a stock 99-02 driveshaft...The LR3 has different part number, which is why is doesn't cross in a the data base...
quick edit...your right, it's a wrong part# in the database I"m using...gotta get that corrected

They're listed as fitting 99 - 04 D2's: Land Rover Discovery 2 Front Drive Shaft | eBay
Of those who have one of these driveshafts, what model year is your vehicle? Does the shaft have any fitment issues? I can't imagine that they would as long as they are able to compress enough without binding when the front axle is on the bump stops. By the time these trucks are lifted, extended shocks added, etc., I think a driveshaft length difference of an inch or so is not an issue.

sorry, It's early, no coffee...The database I use for parts shows the 99-02 and 03-04 with different parts number...
Huh, just found a problem with the all-data database
