Hey guys,

All the lights on my radio go out from time to time with the exception of the lcd display light. they usually come back on a few hours into a drive, I suspect a loose connection internally.

Has anyone made diy repairs to these radios in the past?

 

Which Radio is it? Do the buttons still work when the lights are out?

 

I have the radio in the picture... Yes the buttons still work when the lights are out, just hard to use at night.

 

I have been inside the single CD disc radio but not one of the tape deck radios like you have. Wish I could help.

 

Thanks for wanting to help! Also if someone knows how to solder in an aux port on the circuit board that would be awesome. I have done this on other factory radios in the past. It usually involves scratching out some circuits for the antena and such. Still allows you to use am fm but also alloys you to bypass the antenna circuit and make the radio think the aux is the antenna.
