Default Radio problems in a 2002 Discovery

I let my wife drive my discovery, somehow she had problems turning on the vehicle. My father in law went to provide assistance and decided that the battery was the problem. They used jumper cables to try start the vehicle but they could not.
After some hours I was advised about the situation, I went by and used jumper cables to start the vehicle.
Well, after that the radio does not work, fuse is ok and I do not what else to check.

Has some one had the same problem? Please let me know how to fix this issue.

You will probably need to install a radio security code into the radio to reactivate it.

You will have to call a Dealership with your vin #, they will give you the code, you will enter it in to the radio, it will work, all lifes problems have now been solved!

You are welcome.

And quite often the dealer won't give that information over the phone.

I have done it twice up here without a problem, depends on the dealer I guess.

Guys, I got the code from the nearest dealer but I do not know how to do it since the radio is not turning or asking for any code.
is there any procedure or reset button?

Look for a blown fuse. Attached is procedure, but if it does not display "CODE" then you have other problems.

And there is a lot more than 1 fuse involved.

Fuse links (bolt in fuses under hood) -

Links 1, 3, 7, 8, 12

Under dash fuses F16, F20, F26, F33

Well meaning good Samaritans with jumper cables can blow fuse links with a single glance. Being he is the top mechanic known by SWMBO, no blame must be laid on him, don't even go there. Just fix it, and be happy.
