Rear Brake Caliper removal

The bolt heads are stripped, rounded and shiny, hard to get any kind of socket to stay on without slipping off, I'll keep at it and try the Heat/freeze method. Thanks again,

As a last resort, you can of course drill them out, though I'm not sure how easy they'll be to reach with a drill. Use a center punch to center the bit and start small, working your way wider until it flakes out of there.

Get a set of bolt extractors. They work miracles.

I snapped the glow plug off in the head on my old mercedes, and they saved my tookus.

If you wrench on anything, and don't own a set, I question your sanity.

amazon has best pricing on them from what I can tell.

Torch the SURROUNDING METAL, not the bolt, propane is OK, doesn't get that hot though. try a blue wrench.. (oxy/ace) and repeated PB blaster or deep creep treatments.

Sharp blow to get it started, then steady pressure.

Get some GOOD anti-sieze after that (I use nothing but liqui-moly) and new bolts.
