Awesome setup. What brand and size are you using. That sub box looks kick ****, makes oem look lame. Did you make a whole new box, or just the front panel, and attach to existing? I wish I had your touch with the woodwork, but you have inspired me to rethink what to do with my rear door. I already wired truck for my monoblock amp and my lo-profile 10" pioneer enclosure. I was going to get the alpines 6.5's and put in doors and rear, but time to rethink.

The box is a combination of birch and fiberglass. Was kind of a tricky build. The smaller the box, the more attention to detail you have to make. The making of the grill and mounting of the grill was probably the most challenging part.

After framing the box, start making the grill. I used the cheap stainless steel grill stuff you get from the hardware store to replace your worn out charcoal grill grate and some nylon screen replacement material. This was really hard to route a edge exactly deep enough for this to recess flush

After you build the box frame, just cover with fleece (Delta blankets work great)

Building of the box frame is probably the most technical. The most time consuming (and nasty) was the glassing, sanding, glassing, sanding, glassing, sanding, bondo, sanding, bondo, sanding, bondo primer, sanding, primer, sanding, primer, sanding then texturing and painting the sub box and grill

After texturing and painting

I would have to charge a TON for these. Grant you, I could do the next one in about a quarter of the time, but it would still take a while.

I just ordered a set of the JL Audio C2-650 component set from Amazon to replace my rear door woofers. Runs about $149 with shipping and includes the tweeters and separate crossovers.
