Default Rear Fog Lights Stuck On

Working on an issue where the rear fog lights are constantly on whenever the light switch is flipped to any position. Is this something anyone's seen before? I can hear the relay clicking when I hit the rear fog switch, so that part works fine. Regardless of that, the fog lights and the switch telltale are lit no matter what. Removing fuse 4 that feeds the fog relay does not affect anything either, which makes me suspect a back feed somewhere else in the circuit. I know the IDM can cause some issues (corrosion?) - is this a possibility even though removing the fuse does nothing? If nothing else, I'll just start isolating the circuits starting from the trailer harness. Really don't want to melt things down if there's a short.

On a side note, does anyone have a 1st edition copy of the circuit diagrams that might apply to a MY1999 specifically? As I'm digging through circuits for this, the stereo, etc. I'm noticing quite a few differences in pinouts and wire color compared to the 2nd edition MY2000 ETM that's generally available. Not sure if it's all '99 trucks or the fact that mine is a very early 7/98 build that's causing me problems. I know there are a ton of early production body and trim differences, so this may be another byproduct.

That's an interesting one for sure! Have you tried removing the rear fog relay (R131) and rechecking? Perhaps the conductor got "jammed closed" somehow even though the armature is working so you can still hear the click. For what it's worth I have an 11/99 build and haven't found any differences in the electrical manual, certainly not saying there are none, perhaps mine is late enough where the changes were made already.

Do you happen to know where that relay is? I imagine it's on the backside of the interior fuse box, but I can't find any info on the backside components. I'm leaning away from that being the cause, however. Removing the fuse to the relay doesn't seem to have any effect on the fogs at present.

Miraculously the copy of the ETM on my laptop was a 1999 version, and it did have the slight difference in CD player wiring so I'm good there. I think that one was just changed for clarity on the later ones. I've only found a handful of minute wiring differences so far. The body and interior pieces have varied a fair bit from all the other ones I've seen. Typical Land Rover stuff I suppose.
