recommended pads and rotors, all four corners
A chisel or punch and hammer work good to remove those screws. Big head gives lots of torque. Just pound CCW. Surprisingly easy and screw is not damaged too much.
Good work on the brakes. I tell my kids that stopping is more important than going.

I’m in the same boat here. From my track days, Hawk Blue pads were always the go to. Cross drilled or even slotted does not seem like a good idea to me based on build up possibly being trapped off road, so I’ve never done that on any of my 4x4s.
But in looking at RockAuto, I think I might order a Power Stop kit all around.
I’ve got Akebono pads on the rear of my current D2 that I really like and was planning on doing those all around, but they only showed rears on RockAuto.
For Brembos, I put those on the boss’ former L320 SC and was very impressed for the price (I think it was $600 for all 4 corners- and remember the front brakes alone are way more powerful on that thing than all 4 corners on a D2, so I’d think those aren’t a bad option and I might reconsider.
However, on the whole, everyone is very correct in saying clean and lubed guide pins (I think I’m taking things in the wrong direction in line with the last post
) is also a big factor. I’d add to that a good bleed of fresh fluid is a good idea. Engage research…

I recently did all 4 corners on my D2 and reading up on the 'net found many recommendations for Akebono pads (can't remember what rotors I use - Bosch maybe). I also changed all hoses and replaced my rear callipers. The difference was night and day. I'll stick with the Akebono pads and would recommend them.
finally had some time over the weekend to look at the rear brakes. pads were about shot, driver's side lower guide pin was rusted in place, but the rotors were in decent shape. so, installed the new Brembo pads, freed up the jammed guide pin, cleaned all the pins and receivers and greased them. that went so quickly i decided to throw the front Brembo pads on as well.
very happy with the smoothness of the braking and seat of the pants it feels like it brakes better.
stored the Brembo rotors until i need them and kept the EBC Green front pads with 3/4 life as spares. now, what should i do with all the Brembo stickers that came with the hardware? if I put them on the rear windows will that up the braking power even more?
