Default reconnecting engine?

hello,
first time post here and I hope it's not my last!

I am looking at a 1999 disco II and it has a brand new engine already dropped in it but nothing is connected... I have searched the internet but I cant seem to find any information on what wires and sensors i will need to reconnect and where. Is their a "how to" on reconnecting the engine anywhere? If it is to much work I will find one that doesn't need as much work.

thanks for your help

-mike

Welcome.
Locate another '99 and take dozens of pictures.
Dowload the service manuals and follow them as needed. You should have good skills to do it, and take your time.

Brand new engine as in brand new re-manufactured or a brand new to this truck used engine from another vehicle?

Most connectors will only match their mate other than the plug wires which you can find diagrams for all over.

If it's a brand new re-manufactured engine built by a reputable builder with receipts it may be worth fooling with.
