Thanks, I'll read up on it at Josh's website. Is there any special difficulty or procedures in bleeding out all of the air on a repair like this?

No, not really. I use an assistant, standard pump it three times and hold, I alternate corners until the air is out of the system.

I just replaced my shuttle valve and re-soldered the plug two weeks ago and so far so good, haven't had an appearance from Martin, Chevy or Steve since. Scott R is right , really isn't a bad fix, the soldering part I was apprehensive about but got it finished bled the brakes and everything seems to working as it suppose to.
