Whatever you do DON'T forget to disconnect your battery first and IMO you need a lot more than 5 minutes for capacitance charges to dissipate I would recommend 15-20 minutes - there's no hurry. If you're not careful you'll be wearing an airbag and the attached metal bits for the rest of your life . Once removed treat the SRS with respect and gently as they have been known to go off when dropped. place it somewhere safe like the rear seat or load space.
