I'm finally getting my engine put back together after head gaskets and a long list of other parts. There appears to be something in the breather hose coming from the RH rocker cover. Looks like a PCV oil seperator. I have new hoses but this thing is stuck tight. The LH rocker cover has a port too but I didn't see one of these in it. Should there be one? I can't seem to find any reference to this in the Rave.

Some body tore up the oil separator element.

Yes, it is like a PCV valve system.

 

That item is axactly what I e-mailed you about mike. I thought it was the pcv. The hose going from it to the valve cover is cracked.

No problem. This one was stuck in the tube - packed full of solidified oil. I had to drill it to get it out. So now I'll have to order a replacement. More Disco Dollars!
