I realize it may be a little late, but did you check the lifter hard surface and cam lobes for wear while you were in there, chances are they also are warn.

Mike, I checked a few of the lifters. They looked good (no wear). The cam lobes also looked good. All were uniform silver, except for one that has a slight brown discoloration.

From moving the AC/ACE/PS bracket (I slid it forward and rotated it), I developed a power steering leak. Now i have to track that down, hopefully it is just a loose hose. I need to clean that area. Since some stuff is out of the way, I can see how filthy it is. The block just behind & below the bracket is nasty, along with the front cover above the oil filter.

I am going to use Super Clean to clean it. It did an awesome job on the inside of the valve covers. I used Meguiers All Purpose Cleaner in the past to clean the engine bay, but I think super clean will cut the oil/grease better.

I finished up the install this morning. When I first started it, it ticked very loud for a couple of minutes then the tick went away and stayed away. I cleaned the front of the motor along with the ace and PS pump and lines.
Here's what I used/replaced:
Rocker arms
Rocker arm shafts
Oil filler o-ring
Coolant hose (intake to throttle body)
70mm idler puller
80mm idler pulley bearing
Valley gasket and end seals
Intake Plenum gasket
Throttle body gasket
Coolant pipe o-rings
Valve cover gaskets
Injector o-rings
