Default Rough idle when not in park

Started having a slight miss. I drove to my land rover guy and he ran codes for me. Cylinder 4 miss fire and an iac code. I changed the plugs, better but not fixed.

The hose from the iac that saddles onto the throttle body/air hose (technical term???) does seem to be seating on properly. Is that supposed to be all one hose or two with a clamp attachment? Also, if it's 2 hoses, what are the names o them so I can get new ones? I'm having trouble finding the parts listed on napa or rock auto.

Oh well, so much for going out of town tomorrow.

Also, I cleaned the iac and throttle body with some cleaner. They were a bit dirty, but nothing out of the ordinary. I'm hoping the answer isn't "replace the iac", but that's easy enough, jut expensive.

Ignition coil maybe?

Ugh

First, how many miles on the engine, have you ever replaced the factory plug wires and what octane are you burning.
Did your mechanic clean the t/body and idle control solenoid? Do you currently have any fault codes, if so get the fault code numbers to us so we can help.

140ish miles. I haven't replaced the wires. Regular octane gas. 87 I guess? I don't know if he's cleaned the solenoid. He works on mostly foreign cars and tons of rovers. The only reason he's not working on it is because he won't be able to get to it until next Friday.

The shop boy read the codes for me and like an idiot I didn't write them down. One was a the cylinder 4 misfire and another was maybe p1690? I think that was the iac code.

I drove to Polly and back yesterday and then this happened after when I ran to the post office.

Is the not completely attached hose a possible culprit?

So go buy a set of 8 mm silicone STI or Magnacor wires from British Parts of Utah and change them out, your are long since dead and get away from the 87 octane and your tuck will run a lot better.
Also might want to read my sticky at the top of this section on majors services, sounds like your can use one.
