Default Rusty Window Regulator

This is the 2nd time that I have had a regulator rust out on me and freeze up. I siliconed where the wires enter the regulator, but this one is only a year old. Any ideas on how to prevent this in the future? I dont believe the door can be made water proof, the motor appears to have a drain on it, meaning it cannot be sealed completely. Any other thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks

Perhaps just use it more? like every time you drive.

Maybe, but the internals of the window motor are rusty. there is definitely water getting into the motor, is that unavoidable?

I understand what you are saying, by using the motor it dries it out some how. which makes sense i suppose, but seems like another poor design. Third time is the charm I hope.

I drilled a small drainage hole on my passenger side regulator after it had failed twice. I disassembled the motor and cleaned out the rust and made a small hole for water to drain. It has been around 5 months and it has been functioning fine.

Thanks, I have bigger issues now. somehow the front doors do not receive enough power to run the windows. I get about 5 volts at the motor.
