I spent hours trying to find something with those threads. Ended up welding them shut.

You can either swap in an non-SAI ECU or have a rover shop flash a non-sai program. Take it to a shop with the tubes and hardware removed, tell them your ECU went bad and you bought the SAI ecu off ebay.

So if you get the non SAI ecm it would need to be flashed for your specific truck because of the bcu and alarm system ? My SAI has been removed so I get the fault codes.

Talking to the guys who do our module programming for the newer Rovers. Looking into a more simple solution.

For those that deleted the system and just have check engine lights, what did you do about the vacuum lines that go to the solenoids?

Ultimately you'd just need to simulate load on the circuit for the first 30 seconds or so to make the ECM happy? I don't see any other checks than that.

I would think you would just remove any associated vac lines with the SAI delete

You don't need a different ECU, you just need a non-SAI flash.
or
You can get a Non-SAI ecu/bcu/instrument cluster combination and you should have no lights, no codes

Its more complicated than that. SAI ECU programming looks for the actual effect of the SAI operation, namely the extra air in the exhaust while it is running. It actually runs a test during that time looking for the 02 sensors to go lean due to the extra air, if it doesn't see that it will throw a low flow code.

The only way to get rid of the trouble codes is with a Non-SAI ecu program, either via flash or physical unit.
