You don't want to use anything stiff going to the SAI pump or you risk damaging the pump from vibration or ripping the OEM shock rubber mounts to bits. 3/4 Black Heater hose is $7.00 for 6ft of it at any auto parts store and it will fix your problem for a very long time vs the OEM setup.

Attach it to the special coupling section of the original SAI black plastic flex line, the route it up to the metal line going along the bulkhead. Problem solved, and since you only used about 2.5FT you have spare 3/4 hose for way down the road.
