Schemartic, radio, 2004 Discovery, where to get?
Does anyone know where I can find a schematic (circuit diagram) for radio in 2004 Discovery? Must I go to dealer to learn where one is available? A schematic is used by radio repairman, so not something most people would find useful, as they probably couldn't read one anyway, as they show symbols for capacitors, resistors, i.f. transformers, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes, etc., going from "front end" to power audio amplification circuits in radio.

I tip my hat to those who wield a slender soldering iron with flair and do component level board repair. However, a pull out radio from a boneyard is like $30. And there are dismantlers like Paul Grant that have them.
Note to noobies - a cold soldering iron and one that is not look exactly alike.....

Way, back when I was in high school the local RCA factory sponsored an Boy Scout Explorers Troop whose focus was electronics. We did a lot of odd stuff.
I can still remember this guy John picking up a soldering iron by the wrong end and actually trying to solder with it while his hand burned. I could never figure out how he held on to it that long. His hand was bandaged for a couple of months.
