Thumbs up Seafoam Induction Cleaning fun with Codes

Hello just got done with the Seafoam treatment. I need to personally thank Mike for spending time over the phone with the steps. Also a shout out to Spike.

This process was quite easy. At the very beginning, I had the engine stalled but quickly got it back. I would advise the community to buy the more flexible hose, mine was very firm.

It's also great to have a see through hose, I can see the bubbles and know how much I am releasing.

Also, the throttle cleaning was a breeze. There was brown gunk all over the place.

So after getting some attention around the neighborhood, the SES light came on with the following codes.

P0308: Cylinder 8 misfire
P0307: Cylinder 7 misfire
P1300: Generic code

Now, are the first two codes regarding to the spark plugs? Are they fouled? My shipment of Magnecor wires should be coming next week.

However, what is the P1300 code?

Thanks everyone and Mike!

P.S. Its exhilarating to scare so many people on the street with the crazy smokes!

Clear the codes you just did an induction cleaning and it will throw false codes like crazy.

Because you were dumping more "fuel" into the cylinders than they could handle the plugs were flooded and thus not firing and that is what gave you your mis fire codes.
Dont worry about them.

Thanks Spike, you are great! Oh, one question for you, I remember you posted on a thread the OBD scanner you were buying from eBay. I brought the same one and it does not have Land Rover as a manufacturer. Can you recall?

No it does not have LR as a manufature, but you can get updates from their web site.
The only real reason you would need it to be LR specific would be transmission codes, but there are only a couple of those and we can help you with your tranny problems, like dont pay to much and becareful he/she isint a cop.
