Default SeaFoam Induction Cleaning 2003 Discovery II - Funny Video

Here is the plume of exhaust after a 1/2 can of Sea-foam added in to the brake booster vacuum line. Pour is it in super slow. Like dripping olive oil on a tossed salad. Your engine will rev higher RPM's as you add it. Wait 5min and drive like a bat out of hell for about 10 miles. I added another full can of Sea-foam to a half full tank of gas to clean out the injectors. I like it super concentrated. I'm starting to do this every 15,000 miles or every 3rd oil change. Rover engines are super gunky. I only use Shell V-Power 93 octane gas. Just the way the engine is, I guess. Lets hear it for a re-engineered 1968 Buick Small block. Still love my Rover regardless! Drives everywhere except past gas stations!

No helper was there to turn off my camera...gota learn how to edit YouTube videos. Nice bird sound track in Indy, IN on a hot summers day!

why not use BG products. work better and aren't corrosive. Seafoam breaks up the crap in large chunks which destroys oxygen sensors but the bg stuff works more gradually and gets rid of the carbon in the combustion chambers.

boss - You're brave doing it in the middle of the day, in the middle of a neighborhood DiscoMike and others have recommend letting it sit for at least 30 minutes after it's all in, any reason you only do 5? And I am just curious, not asking sarcastically or anything. I picked a nice foggy night so I didn't have the fire-marshal my door

Rovin - for an induction cleaning, do you add the BG just like you would Seafoam?

44K yes, the induction cleaner hooks into the fuel rail and going off of shop pressure it injects the cleaner instead of gas and cleans the injectors till it runs out. Its a shop tool you will find at any place that sells the stuff. Basically on a D2 we do it not on the back of the motor but at the line coming off the fuel pump and run it that way. Then the 44k which is dumped into the engine cleans it out. Its more gentle. Its great to get power back and keeps the injectors clean. The issue with the valves takes a few cans of 44k to clear up. Works great and keeps the fuel system alot cleaner. But the other products like MOA that is a oil additive at every oil change works good along with regular oil changes. Although with more severe driving changing the oil works better. The issue with heads blowing up and every other gasket is the pCV separator getting clogged. Replacing it with a new one and then using a product like MOA keeps it cleaner longer. Our local rep knows alot and really answers our questions and tries to tailor the product to our problems. For example most D2s don't have lean codes caused by crappy gas. Well LR3s and RRS and RR do so an injection service after say 50k helps before it becomes a problem.

Hello Rovin4life,
I have been reading the website on BG products. They look like they are used by professionals. Which products are good and what should I use regularly? I have been adding a quart of Lucus Stop Leak for about 3 oil changes and no more drips on the driveway from what I'm guessing the crankshaft seal. I like when something actually works!
The BG products dont seem to expensive online. I have not seen them in any autoparts store.

They don't sell to the public its the shops they sell it to. If you can catch a bg guy on a good day then he might sell you the 44k or MOA. The injection service has to be done by any shop on the list cause its a pressured solvent.
