Default seatbelt wont click in

the drivers side seatbelt wont engage in my 99 discovery II. anyone experience this problem before? if so what did you have to do to fix it? i dont think its worth the ticket riding around with a seatbelt that doesnt click in.[:@]

I had this happen on a old car that I had, if nothing is inside the latch, like a penny, paperclip, etc. Then you need a new latch. Sometimes the spring can go bad.
You can try taking a screw driver and sticking inside the latch and trying to jar the latch loose.
But most likely you need a new buckle.

It bolts to the floor of the trk. And there will be a connector plug for your warning light.
Unbolt the bad one from the floor, bolt the new one to the floor.

its bolted to the seat. there is a yellow sheathed connector that is for the gas charge in the buckle, not just a stalk, its a active srs componant, do not unplug it with the key on, give it a good 20 minutes of key off before you disconnect it too. and as always, be extremly careful when working with srs componants
