Default Service and Driveshaft question

Sorry for the repeat but I put this same post in a different forum list and I think it may get a better response here. Thanks

2003 Disco II - 120,000 miles recently purchased (from what I can tell, the driveshaft has not been rebuilt so I am on borrowed time)

I have started the 60K service and have a few questions.
1. I plan on putting in the Magnacore wires - where is the best (cheapest) place to get these

2. I noticed that several people use the Bosch Plantinum +4 plugs but I can't find an listing for the Disco II on the Bosch website. Which ones to I get.

3. I am arranging to have my front driveshaft rebuilt with the greasible u-joints and centering ball. If I drive to the local hobby shop to remove the front driveshaft can I drive home without the front driveshaft installed while I wait for the driveshaft to be rebuilt? I know I need to mark the shaft and flange for fit up later. Is there anything else that needs to be done to do this correctly? I noticed in another thread someone said to "lock the transfer case." Exactly how do I do that if it is required for my Disco? Thanks for the help. I am planning on doing this soon so would appreciate a quick response if possible.

Thanks for the rapid response.

1. www.apexperformance.com for best price on Magnecors
2. D2 uses the same plug as the D1.
3. No. All your power is going to be sent to the front output since there will be no resistance. If you could lock the center differential you could but an 03 doesn't have that capability. As long as you get the zerk fittings offset so they don't throw off the balance of the shaft marking the flanges isn't critical. I removed and reinstalled my rear shaft without marking anything and had no problems.

Default magnacor site

That website for Apex Performance doesn't seem to work here (in US anyway) It sends me to some sort of site for a "training company" named Apex Performance. Maybe its for UK?

Thanks for the input on driving - glad to be informed so I'm not surprised if I did that and the truck just sat there. Good info is important to the uninformed!

Thanks.

Thanks for all the help. Got the site to work and will place my order. Just got a "random misfire" and misfire cylinder 3" code so I guess it must be time. I know other things may give that too but its time for new wires and plugs anyway.

Thanks again - I have been on a lot of forums for different cars and this one is by far the most helpful and the quickest response - thanks to all!!
