Default RE: service engine soon

I had a service engine soon light that would keep coming on. Eventually I found out it was a broken Oxygen Sensor. Might be this?

So after all the confusion, do you under stand what you need to do regarding your check engine light, it is on cause you have a problem and will need to be scanned for codes, repaired and then reset with the proper scanner, many scanners won't do a clearing on a Rover.

mike,

you say many won't,so is there a scanner I can purchase that will clear codes off the land rover discovery? Mine is a 2003. I want to purchase a scanner to diagnosis my rover, but I would like to be able to clear codes, too. If you have any suggestions on one to get and links to where to get it from, that would be nice.

You can get a OBDII scanner at AutoZone, and yes, it will reset the Check Engine Light on any OBDII car which is 1996 and newer.
