Default Service Engine Soon light

About two weeks ago the Service Engine Soon light came on. I had a friend of mine hook up a diagnostic machine to it. I dont remember the code it came up with, but he said it was the Mass Air Flow sensor. I tried some cleaner for it but it didnt help. I came to the decision I would have to buy a new sensor. Coincidently, I put two new tires on the rear and aired up the front to the manufacturers recommended pressure. Since then the Service Engine Soon light has gone out and not come back on............Coincidence????

By now, you should know if you have a question, give us the exact fault code number so we don't have to guess, second don't clean a MAF unless you know how cause most will usually fail after being done wrong.
Get us the code numbers.
