Default Shift boot

I got new boots for the transfer case and park brake for my 04 today.
I was just thrilled to see that the park brake boot needs glued around the metal frame.
I haven't tried the transfer case boot yet, because it looks like I need to remove the center console for that.
I have searched the forum, and have found nothing.
Does anyone have any tricks for replacing these?
Thank you

The frame is plastic and pops out of the center console. It gets glued as well. Gently pry it up with a flat screw driver. No need to remove the console.

Thank you sir!
You saved me alot of time by not removing the console.
And then I would have realized after that I didn't need to.

Hot glue gun!!
I didn't think of that!
I was going to use a spray glue. That would have worked, but would have taken alot longer to set up, and been very frustrating.
Thank you sir for a great idea, and saving me alot of time and headache!

Don't pry it with a screwdriver! Rotate the base and it will come right out easily, as it was designed.
