Shifter Stuck in Neutral
Hi everyone,
The other day my Disco II wouldn't shift out of neutral. I took the console cover off, and found that the pin activated by the solenoid works when shifting out of park, but not in neutral. Although I don't think it should need that solenoid to move from neutral.
There was a plastic piece that I found to be shattered when I took the gear selector apart. I'm guessing that piece holds in the pin when the car is in neutral, and prevents it from getting stuck there.
Pics attached...

Any ideas on where I might find that replacement plastic piece?
Thanks!

Parts guys on forum or nearby salvage yard, surely there are Charlatans (who live in Charlotte) that sold these posh preowned piles of sheet metal for monetary gain, and you now have the skills to retrieve said part. BTW, PullAPart on line inventory says none.
Here is a used shifter on eBay for $40 and free shipping.

Another for $9.99 and $12 shipping.

@Savannah Buzz - It's pronounced "Charlotteans"! ;-) Unfortunately, I have yet to find a salvage yard in my area that has a Discovery II. I had high hopes for PullAPart... but you saw the same thing I did. Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep looking for a good salvage yard for future use.
@ralphobell - thanks, I can't believe I didn't check eBay. How embarrassing. Ordered the part, and will be swapping it with the broken one ASAP. Too bad I couldn't find just that plastic piece... I'm sure it was $0.50. Oh well.
@LandRoverForums - thanks for being so awesome.
