Exclamation Shocks etc. need advice

let me start by saying Im 16 and trying to get into doing all this myself and have no idea whats included or what needs to be replaced or could/should be replaced as far as shocks but WANT to learn
I have a 2000 discovery and after contacting my local land rover dealership I have found out that to get my rover lifted and still keep the REAR air lift as the front just has coil springs my only option is to buy suspension spacers. Also known buy the retailer " toddco suspensions " as SLS suspension lifts. The kit I found comes with both the front coil " lift " and rear air " lift " for $204 , my question is since im doing this and not actually replacing the shocks just getting spacers what is a good aftermarket shock to add with this as well just regular non lift good shocks.
ALSO I do plan to get Wheel spacers to help on road stabilization as well as a steering stabilizer.

I am sure others sill correct me here....

Just did a Terra Firrma 2in lift on my SLS truck. It handles way better on and off road now!

I highly recommend replacing the front springs due to age and sagging. Putting spacers on the old front springs will make to truck not handle properly. Since the front springs are sagged, the difference between where your truck sits and where it will sit with new 2in lift springs will be closer to 3in.

I replaced the front springs and all four shocks (+2.) I also installed the SLS spacers and the steering stabilizer (highly recommend this.) Other parts to consider for a 2in lift: spacers for the cross member under the front driveshaft, extended brake lines for all four corners. I got all these parts from Lucky 8, just called Justin.

Now for tires, I am still trying to order 265 65 18 BFG AT's (on back order.) If you have 18's you can go up to 265 75 18 I believe.

This subject is very interesting due to all the opinions and experiences from others, should be interesting to see what others say....

I also have this setup (TF MD front springs, TF SLS Spacers, TF +2 shocks, TF +2" SS lines), however I still need to get/fab and install cross member spacers.

I have 32.1" diameter tires (255/70R18), 275/65R18 are also 32.1" dia. 265/75R18 are 33.6" dia. You will most likely need to trim the stock bumper with the 33.6" tires. My tires a very close to the bumper.
