Shocks which ones are good?
My mechanic quoted me about $400 do install the lift but he specializes in LRs and has done a ton of OME lifts.
It took me about 10 hours to do my lift including 2 hours of running to Home Depot for tools and having to literally cut one of the old shock bushings off.

ok so i got the super gaz 1# lift kit in my disco. first off, let me say that the handling before was horrible, and the stock shocks and springs were completely toasted. But now, the handling is amazing, and i haven't even been off pavement yet. so, i got almost 2" of lift in the front and almost 3" in the back. measured at the top of the fenderwell. I hope to get it on some ramps and check out the flex this weekend.
I was going to do it myself but changed my mind..I had the kit and a new steering stabilizer installed for $375. The kit was on sale, with a stabilizer it was around $675.
but anyway, it handles awesome and looks pretty sweet. Can't wait til these tires need replacing, I think i can get a little more meat under there.
here's the links to pics.
