Shop in South Carolina
I'm in Greenville, SC for 9 months work.
Drove down from NY, no problems. Bearing maybe got a little louder.
I'm looking for a shop here to take care of a few issues.
Rear wheel bearings.
Front lower ball joints.
I'll add trans fluid swap to that, as its behaving oddly after the drive.
Does anyone know of a shop that can tackle that in Greenville, or close?
'04 Disco.
Thanks.

You drove a rover from NY to upstate SC for 9 months of work? This is a city where you have to drive 30 min to get anywhere. Even if it's 5 miles away it takes half an hour (woodruff road for example). You're a brave soul.
I keep a spare disco 2 as a parts rig, the little lady daily drives hers so it donates lots of parts to keep it rolling. While it's picked pretty well there's still a good bit left. If you need any parts while you're here hit me up, if I have them I'm certainly better priced than the website used parts suppliers.
I've never used the local Rover shop, called them about programming a new remote entry key and they were not confident in doing so. I didn't want to waste time and money traveling to woodruff road, hells gate, for a maybe we can do it. I run a shop and in the past 20 plus years of doing this for a living I've learned not to put much faith in a shop that says maybe we can do it. They seem to be the only game in town. Other than that I couldn't tell you anything about them. Being around for so long I'm sure they are great at things other than programming a new or used key for a disco 2. I eventually plan on purchasing a nanocom but in our 2 or so years of ownership I've not had an issue that required the 600 dollar purchase. Between the foxwell, snap on and torque pro it's done all the basics I have really needed except keyless entry programming.

I got to know Wes quite well, he has one of the old Testbook machines. He can flash and ECM, had him flash an SAI ECM with a non SAI file - no issues. He has gotten a lot bigger, a lot more guys working there, but a lot of them are old RoverTechs. The work on the old school stuff, which is rare now.
Regarding Eurover, In my experience, Mike and Wes are very honest guys who will tell you what needs and doesn't need to be done. As with all shops they could use more techs but I've always liked the work that they have done on my 04. Hope that all works out well for OP.
