Default Should there be slack in the front end?

I had the disco on jack stands today and noticed that when I rotate the front left wheel there is some slack before the front right wheel starts to rotate the other direction and vice versa. I only ask because there is no slack in the rear end. Do I need to start sourcing front end parts?

Would that be normal because the tires would be tracking different radius circles on a turn, and need to turn at different speeds? Wonder if it changes when you lock the diff?

Pretty normal, if you are concerned though then drain your diff and verify there are no chunks in the oil.
