Default Shuttle valve?

Hey Guys,

The 3 amigos have been lit on my truck for quite a while. Recently I purchased the iCarsoft ODBII reader (I think it's the i930 model) and was able to retrieve the "ABS shuttle valve electrical failure" code. I then got a new part from Atlantic British and replaced it (didn't see any leaks, the old valve was pretty clean and completely dry). I've cleared the codes but for my surprise and disappointment the 3 amigos came back up after a couple of miles. I've checked the codes and it gives me the same thing, shuttle valve failure! WTF? Now the 3 amigos keep coming back every now and then... Thoughts?

Oh, and do you guys know how I could test the old shuttle valve with a multi-meter?

Cheers

Wow, that's genius! And I realized I've seen an youtube video of the procedure at some point, but couldn't understand much (it's in French). But together with that detailed description on the thread, it all made sense. Here's the video:

It's a shame you spent the money on the shuttle valves when so very often the shuttle valve switch fault is caused by a failed circuit board in the modulator. Just go ahead and perform Option B as set out in the link above.

I was getting the same fault code the OP was. For peace of mind I purchased and installed a new SVS and did the Option B fix. I figured why not do it all at once since I had it apart anyway.
