I've never heard of anyone needing one, but I'm sure there is some random occurrence that necessitates the need. Being that they are large and hard to store, I never remove them.

Not really looking to store an item as large as a tank for that random need to sell for $100.

 

I know the diesel tank is plastic but never realised the petrol version was also plastic .............. do they ever split or fail?
