Springs or spacers
#12
There's really not much of anything wrong with spacers. If you're doing 90% street driving and your stock suspension is performing how you want it to then spacers will get you 100% there. The only real reason to use lift springs is either because you do off road the truck and you want the off road performance, or because you need to replace your springs anyway (one is broken, excessive sagging causing uneven ride height, or you need increased capacity).
Even on my rigs, which I do off road, I cheap out and put together my own lift. Extra set of stock rear springs in the front, make my own 3" or 4" blocks for the rear, and then modifying the shock mounts so I still get full travel out of my suspension. I'd eventually like to upgrade the rear springs on the rigs that see a lot of off road action, but it works really well in the mean time.
Nothing wrong with spacers, even if your suspension is sagged as long as you are happy with your ride quality, I wouldn't be afraid of them.

I believe I have regular weight springs in the rear (TerraFirma replacements, not originals or OEM). If I ever replace the rear bumper then I'll upgrade them.
