I got an SRS light on now. Just changed out the head gasket. Among other things still wrong this is one that I can't figure out. Any thoughts?

Most likely you have a low voltage fault caused by unhooking the battery.
You can only clear the codes by using the proper scanner and going thru the ecu, an engine scanner won't cut it.

Didn't say that exactly, should be good, but it will cost you dearly to get it reset.

Uggh. Thats what I was afraid of. The nearest stealership is over 3 hours away, I am hoping to find a decent import mech around that might be able to help me with the resetting and such. My obd2 scanner doesnt even register it...

Hey 96,

I'm pretty sure the SRS light has to do with your seat belt restraints. When my SRS light came on, I simply looked under the drivers seat from the rear, found a clear plug that is held in by a velcro pouch, put some di-electric grease on it, plugged it back in and into the velcro pouch and the light turned off.

I hope this helps.
