Default Starnge short noise, just after starting the car

My 04 Disco is making a starnge noise, just after the car starts, when I let the key go (from kranking position), it lasts only a second or so, it is difficult to descibe, a buzzing sound will probably descibe it best. It feels as if it is comming from under the steering/dash. Any idea what it could be?

Could be your starter hanging up for a second, if coming from under the steering column could be the small fan for the a/c temp sensor making noise.

Doesn't sound like the starter continuing to crank. Any ways to check if it is the AC fan?

Pretty sure I have the same problem. It sounds to me like the brake pedal. Try pumping it twice and hold down hard before you crank it and the sound should be atleast muffled.

Unplug fuses for suspect device. If does this on first start of the day, could be the SAI pump, they run for a short time after a cold start, when failing can sound like a hair dryer.
