I recently bought a 2002 Land Rover Discovery 2. It all seems to be driving and running well and the wife loves it very much. Only problem I am having is, sometimes it doesnt want to start. On most cranks, it will start on the 3rd attempt. Other times, it will not start at all then it smells like fuel and acts like it may be flooded. You have to wait again for a while before attempting to start again. I assume it is a bad fuel pump, but I do not know. Too pricey to be going and trying everything. I want my wife to have a reliable vehicle so I need some tips on if tit is the fuel pump. If it is not, what kind of an issue do I have on my hands? Thank you for any help you can give me.
