That's some logic I can certainly live with! Well at least until my Liver explodes.

take a very close look at the u joints in your intermediate steering shaft. Spray them down with WD40 and see if it helps. I changed a power steering pump but the shaft was the real issue.

Thank you guys for all the recommendations. Its cold to work on the trucks this time and its still operational. Ill check the joint and shaft first and lube them. Im not sure if I will rebuild the box if thats the culprit and rather get a used one. The rebuild kit itself is as expensive as the used.

I got a used box with 80,000 miles for $80. If you change it out be VERY careful with the hoses when installing. I broke mine and turned it into a much larger job. Just changing the steering box is not difficult, especially with an impact wrench.

Why my steering box wasn't working as well as it should.
The white ring was broken.
I sheared a blue ring putting the worm gear back in. How, I'm not completely sure, as I was extremely careful with it. Oh well.

Bearings do Not come in the rebuild kit either.
Considering the extra cost they would be, and time to do it all, a remanufacfured, or good used box is the way to go.
