+2 for Akebono ceramic rear brake pads #ACT493 & front brake pads #EUR676 on my Disco 2.
Great stopping power and very low brake dust. I've always trusted Akebono pads on my old VW Passat and now on my wife's BMW X5.

good point. right now stock. But I'm getting ready to add a 2 inch lift and whatever tires make sense for that modification. In that case, do these brakes still make the cut?

Is there a reason to entertain the pretty expensive erc brake kit from AB?
