Hey 2001SE7, sure didn't mean for my thread to start any controversy. But I hope you found your answer on the CDL issue. It is important especially if you have a Disco without it. So finding a LT230 with it is "special". My 2002 does not have the infamous nipple, so the 2003 unit with it was a true find. Seems it is a very late model 2003 and that must be why it has it. CDL is Center Differential Lock. These are great trucks and offer lots of opportunity to put your own touch on them. I also just found a wreaked 01 also that just had head gaskets done on the motor, and a clean car except for the damage to the front from the accident. There is a wealth of knowledge here and these senior members are incredible.

 

I am mental and over react to just about everything, then I cool off after I have burt a few bridges and have to live with the consequences. Your brother's story sounds similar to my son's.
