Default Strange One (transmission)

This morning I had a strange one happen, both transmission lights (M &S) were blinking and the LED on the shifter was blinking and I had lost power. As soon as I shut the vehicle down and restart it the lights cleared and it was fine. I know it's a Rover so funny things happen but I need to know if this is an alert for something major or something I can ignore?

I too just had this problem only with mine, after i restarted my check engine light came on. Have not had tome to take it to get codes read (will post those when I do). If it sheds any further light on it, I was traveling up hill on the 60 Fwy (between Arizon and California) with temps at 119[:@] Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!

Why do you drive around with a check engine light on?????????????????????????
Clean your battery cable and the go get both your fault codes read and have a battery/alternator test done. This will answer it all.

Didnt drive it after the CEL came on....just had to go straight to work for a double shift. I get off at 4PST and plan on taking it straight to Autozone to have the codes read. I did however check the battery cables and conections....everything seemed on the up and up, no corresion or other mess there and I believe the battery only has about 5K miles on it....although i am planning on switching to a duel yellow top set up like you Mike.

Low voltage can cause this, low tranny fluid too.
You need to get it checked out, any time a light on the dash flashes at you it is serious, the light flashing means "hey dumbass, look at me". Now I am not saying that you are a DA, but you need to get it looked at ASAP.
