OK, I have PB blasted them, tapped with a hammer, beat with a hammer re-PB blasted them, cussed at them, pulled on them, spun and tapped from the rear on them... still cannot get the freaking front rotors off. Suggestions?

 

Did you remove the rotor set screws, if they are still there?

 

Remember to take out the big phillips screw that screws the rotor to the hub, they are so freakin soft so be careful with them, once you get that blasted screw off, then commence to beating the rotor back and forth until it breaks free from the hub.

 

You need a bigger hammer.

 

There is some truth to what Spike say's, although his hammer may be over-kill.
Us a piece of wood against the rotor and smash it with all you got.
Once you get them over, make sure you sand all the rust and stuff from the hub and put a little grease on it before reinstalling a rotor.

 

Only use a big hammer like that if you are replacing the rotors like I was on my wifes car, otherwise a big hammer and a block of wood like Mike said so you dont dent the rotor.

 

Thanks to all. I am replacing the rotors, new slotted and dimpled rotors and EBC green stuff pads going on. The "old" pads look good still, but the rotors are toast, I think the last brake job was slap a new set of pads on the old rotors and trade the car in. I will be more persistent with the old rotor persuasion.

I have a BFH just like spike!!!!


And I did get the rotor set screws out... both were round instead of philips already, but a drill and an easy out took care of one side
