Using a volt meter accross the battery terminals or on anny IGN wire inside the vehicle.

A sign of a very bad regulator is your rev counter bouncing all over through the rev range.

Stumbling on accell could also be fuel rail regulator. Check the hose connecting the regulator to the plenum chamber at the idle valve manifold. Make sure you have good pressure on the fuel rail too. 2.5 - 3 bar. Else check fuel filter and pump.

Misfire could also be dissy amplifier, dissy cap, bad coil or even low voltage on the coil. Also check vacuum advance operation is smooth and correct. Also possible injector trouble or injector wirring or connector trouble.
