Intermitten starting problem ,please help
My wife's truck, 2003 disco, said she was driving other day and truck stalled at light. Re started right up, about a week later, started, drove for about 10 minutes (to store) shut off, 15 minutes later, no start, cranks strong, won't start.after about half hour truck starts. Then drove truck a week later about 250 miles, with no problem other than check engine light went on......next morning, started fine, drove about half hour and shut truck off....wouldn't start..took a half hour and I worked throttle to start...( out of frustration)
Then drove a few miles and filled with fuel, and truck started, but when I drove back, wouldn't start,,,,half hour and it started...then drove another 250 miles, no problems....towing a trailer,,lol.....stopped after 200 miles and refilled fuel...truck started right up....home....wouldn't start...now will start cold.."after runs for 10 minutes and shut off, will not start...
Our tenant said that he was smelling gas when he walked by truck a few days before this started...and he mentioned it twice... I scanned service light and three codes came up
P1300
308
305
304
Misfire codes,,,
Please, any ideas,,,,I know it is a long post, but I tried to give as much detail as I can to help diagnose....
Thanks in advance

If no spark (take a plug with you, when it happens , plug it into one of the wires and lay on the manifold) - if no spark when cranking, then returns to normal when the engine cools down, it is usually the $75 crank position sensor. You can pour cold water on it to speed up the return to normal. If DIY, plug in new sensor, let it hang down. All nuts and spacers must be back in exact order.
just turned 100000, i changed plugs with plugs that i had seen recommended here (forget which ones) i changed wires but didnt put in the 8mm,but i will...I cleaned the maf sensor and noticed that the air filter needs to be changed, so i just did that...I changed over to synthetic in the major components a just have to flush and refill cooling system..we only use 93 octane but i noticed that the intake plenum was dirty...any suggestions? i will change wires this weekend
and i still have the PIA STEERING LEAK.......so i just cleaned it and put dye in it, so thats this weekend....other than that...runs awesome and very capable in the woods and fields at our vacation home in rural NY
