Default Sunroof stuck, swapped switches, replaced ECU, what’s next?

I posted about my sunroof before, it would randomly open a bit at least 20% of times when turning on the D2.

yesterday, I opened and closed the front sunroof and it did do the trick with no issues. This morning when I turn the ignition on the front SR would spontaneously open all the way and not close.

I decided to give it a try and fix it, started by swapping the switches, nothing, replaced the ECU for one I got from eBay, I got excited because the SR closed at command and I tried to do a full cycle by opening it again, which it did but wouldn’t close, it was stuck open again this time with new ECU. The motors is oddly hot at touch, not sure what’s going on tbh.

im about to spend 150 bucks in a used motor as there aren’t many junkyard in Houston but wanted to check the community experts before that for any ideas on what could be the issue?

Motors likely filled with rust, recommend disassembly, cleaning, grease the stator, reassemble.
