Sway Bar Assembly Install???

Default Sway Bar Assembly Install???

I have been beating my head against a wall trying to get these guys installed on my front end. Cant tighten the joint without it spinning, and there is no taper on the axle for it to hold it in place! How do I get this thing screwed on?

There is a small hex hole on the joint to hold it in place, but it makes it almost impossible to tighten the bolt with a box wrench!

I used a ratcheting box wrench on mine. Buy a full set, they are a gift from God himself.

I have a set, I just can't keep the joint from spinning with the nut. So the nut won't tighten

Even with a hex tool holding the joint in place?

the only hex tool I have is a small "L" shaped hex. The bolts are Nylocks, so getting that Nylon thread around the joints threads takes some torque. I have some Non Nylock bolts, should I just use those? Is there a better option than the "L" shaped hexes?

Ah yes, I remember! I slipped the closed end of a box wrench over the end of my L shaped tool when I did mine! Try that, should work just fine that way.

do not replace the nylocks with regular nuts. get you self a 3/8 drive socket with the proper size allen

So the Delphi sway bar I was attempting to install had cross threaded... Apparently from factory. Neither bolts would screw on fully (even the end that I had not attempted to tighten). Threw the other Delphi Sway bar on and I didnt even have to hold the joint in place, the nut went right on! Luckily I had an extra sway bar around and did the same to the other side with no issue.
