Terrafirma bumper installation has me stumped
Best4x4, the part of the bumper mount you had to remove was different than the part I had to cut off. I don't think we can say that it is always the same problem.
Plus, I had to grind down and then prime and paint another section of the bumper mount to get it to fit.

It took me several test fits (me holding it & inspecting it by myself) to figure it out. Initially it wouldn't even slide on 1/2 an inch if that. Then when I saw how the rear triangular pieces were no where near lining up I looked at what caused that and the only thing in it's path were the lower plates. Once removed you can now position the bumper up/down where as before you can't! That took care of the bolts lining up, and the rear triangular pieces going over the D2's frame.
Then it was all about modifying the cross bar wide enough to accept a winch (M8000 was a perfect choice & fit), I painted the remaining part of the cross bar black, did a test fit of the winch, and finally mounted the grill after just making two small notches in the very lower section of the 03/04 grill vs completely destroying a 99-02 style grill (mine being the extremely rare Saudi grill). All custom stuff, but I've been doing this kind of thing for years on Jeeps and now on my D1/D2's.
