Default Theft alarm

Today I bought a 1999 Disco 2 drove it home and locked the doors. My dad and I went outside to check it out because he hadn’t seen it and none of the keys will unlock the door you put the key in and it doesn’t even move. So we got a lock guy and he came and popped the doors open but now the alarm won’t stop going off. If you put the key in it goes off if you’re loud it goes off if you open a door it goes off. I have no idea what to do because I can’t turn the key like everything said to do. I am carless and need this fixed now can’t afford a tow to a mechanic either.

Welcome to the forum.

Check the voltage of your battery.
If it’s low, charge up your battery with it disconnected and not triggering the alarm.

use a multimeter to check the voltage. It should be @12.6 VDC for a good battery.
Or try to jump it with good battery from a running car/truck and see what happens

My 99 D2 was locked for 2 weeks, tried to open it & nope battery was flat & I still haven’t rekeyed the drivers door handle to match. I just climbed under old faithful, removed the starter lead (careful not to short the + lead out), connected my jumper cables to it, and the alarm went off. Used my remote & unlocked it, then disconnected the battery, re-connected the starter, and charged up the battery.

I’m gonna mess with the Nanocom & see about disabling the alarm totally as it always seems to drain the battery on the 99.

Did you try it at least?
Check the battery in your key fob?
