No the std carcass is sheet steel, a half stamping welded together with the "brick" inside. The genuine thing has a high concentration of noble metals throughout its brick construction. Aftermarket items are doubtful!

Catco makes a credible copy Y pipe at about $1300, I believe that is made in S/S, but you may be confusing popular Cat back systems on the market by makes such as Borla.
